Yes, and a planned shutdown is usually the best way to get bigger jobs done — board upgrades, machine wiring, new distribution cabling — without eating into production hours or costing you a shift. Once you give us the shutdown window, we scope the job to fit inside it, order any equipment or switchgear with a lead time well in advance, and sequence the work so the most time-critical tasks happen first in case the window gets cut short. For bigger shutdowns we can bring on extra crew for that period specifically. We will tell you upfront if what you are asking for genuinely will not fit the time available, rather than promising it and running over.

Yes, three-phase is a big part of what we do — from a small workshop running one or two machines through to full factory floors with heavy distribution boards and multiple motor control circuits. We are licensed and properly equipped for it, including motor control, variable speed drives, control panel wiring and heavier distribution work feeding plant and machinery. We also handle single-phase to three-phase upgrades for sites that have outgrown their original supply, which usually involves talking to your distributor about the connection as well as doing the internal wiring.

A lot of what looks like a machine problem is actually the electrical supply or control wiring feeding it — a failing contactor, a loose terminal, a control circuit fault or a nuisance-tripping RCD — and that is squarely in our wheelhouse to diagnose and fix. For a fault that turns out to be inside the machine's own control system or PLC programming, we will tell you honestly if it is outside what we do and point you toward the right specialist, rather than poking around in something we are not set up to fix properly. Either way, we start by isolating whether the problem is upstream in the supply and switchboard or downstream in the machine itself, which usually narrows it down fast.

Yes. Industrial electrical work gets the same Certificate of Electrical Safety as any other job, plus test records for switchboards, RCDs and any machinery wiring we touch, which you can keep on file as part of your site's safety documentation. If your insurer, WorkSafe or an auditor asks for evidence that electrical maintenance is being done and equipment is being tested, our reports and certificates cover that. We keep records on our end too, so if you need history on a particular board or piece of plant going back a few years, we can usually pull it up.

Yes, we cover all of Victoria, not just metro Melbourne. Regional and semi-rural industrial sites often have their own quirks — longer supply runs, older infrastructure, sometimes a weaker or less stable grid connection — and we factor travel time and site access into the quote upfront so there are no surprises. For ongoing maintenance contracts on regional sites we usually bundle multiple checks into a single visit to keep travel efficient, rather than charging a full callout every time.
